- Very low heat - Our lights are designed to run cool at high temperature, thus generating very little heat and an extreme savings in power cost to cool the facility. It has been speculated that the cost saved here may even be greater than the savings due to reduced power consumption from the lights themselves.
- No warm-up problems or delays - Second Sun lights are instant on / off in any temperature and can easily be used in conjuntion with occupancy sensors to further reduce power consumption.
- Improved Visibility - With our 5500 degree color temperature (equivalent to sunlight) and our Color Rendering Index (CRI) of over 80, the visiblity improvement using Second Sun LED lighting is better than a simple light measurement will show.
Tested at -40° C, our lights have been installed and run, without incident, directly in front of the blower of a blast freezer used for ice cream storage.
